| Sometimes a double may get through on the press. If this should happen, you have two sheets that better not get in that very important job. Re-inspect your job for missing print on your folder as your folding the job. Method of operation The model MPD Missing Print Detector has been designed to inspect for blank inserts. The systm's scanner has the ability to discern the contrast created by print against the surface. When a printed item appears, the scanner will pulse as it scans over printed and unprinted areas. If a blank appears the scanner will remain in an unchanged state and the system will react by stopping the machine. The system operation is a "fail safe" because the internal logic is looking for a series of pulses when the scanner senses print. If the scanner failed or was incorrectly set, the system would not receive pulses and the system would automaticaly go into a reject mode.
