A master code is stored in the systems memory, and each code is compared at high speeds to the master code. Designed for converting and printing inspection applications, the system will function on gluers, die cutters and printing equipment. METHOD OF OPERATION The automatic programming ability is a unique feature of the inspection system. To prepare the instrument to read, you merely place a master code in front of the scanner and momentarily turn a "Program Key". The system is then set to accept only those items with that specific code. With 100% inspection, all items differing from the programmed code and components which are blank will cause the output relay to immediately react to hault the machine and/or sound an audible signal. The CR6000 is supplied as a complete inspection system including special enhancing features and all of the mounting hardware. Ancillary computers, keyboards, and software are not required to enable its operation. BAR CODES: The CR6000 has the ability to read all of the popular code formats including Pharmacode and EMS Symbologies. We recommend that when you have a choice for style of code to scan, to utilize an Interleaved 2 of 5 bar code format printed in a 12 or 14-mil resolution. The 12 of 5 bar code is easily printed and will accomodate the highest running speeds. The mechanical code support for the laser permits it to read with ladder and picket code directions, and extremely close registration monitoring can be maintained by diagonally scanning the code. |
